First, Hi! I am Timothy James 👋

The quick bio: U.S. Naval Academy graduate with 559,000 followers on TikTok. Served as a Naval Officer before working at the Pentagon for several years. Did a short stint at General Dynamics and Ingalls shipbuilding. Was absolutely miserable in the defense sector 🙁. Had been investing since 2007 and destroyed in 2008. That market crash served as a starting block for my financial market education journey. Continued investing over the years, and in 2019, due to being miserable in defense work, put everything in the markets, both stocks and crypto. Cashed out in 2021. My bearish posts on TikTok in April of 2021, received so much hate, that it caused my initial viral growth. Accurately predicted the 2023 to 2024 stock market melt up. I’ll sometimes say some things you may not like…but its because I am trying to be as candid and unbiased as possible. What is Stock Talk?

Just that…we talk stocks and economic impacts. I am a mid-term investor (few days to a few months), and typically a contrarian to the masses. Though you can do whatever you want, you will routinely hear me discuss how “HODL” is a bad strategy, that dollar cost averaging fails long term, and that I despise many influencers…yes, I am a hypocrite because I am one 😅. Always happy to take a look in the chat at a chart or company you are interested in, Monday to Friday, just be sure to tell me your timeframe of interest.
